At Delmarva Beach Grass, we are a woman owned business providing 'Cape' beachgrass (Ammophilia breviligulata) bare root culms and deep plugs for coastal dune restoration and shoreline protection projects throughout the Mid Atlantic region. We focus solely on growing and providing plants, we do not install/ provide planting services.
We aim to conserve and restore our regions shoreline ecosystems by providing the best quality beachgrass culms available. In addition to Ammophila we also grow other native species for dune and coastal wetland habitats through our partners at Delmarva Native Plants Llc. Our plants undergo USDA and state nursery certification yearly to ensure we are providing the best plants possible for your project. Other species we grow include Panicum amaraum (pictured to the right), Panicum virgatum, Spartina patens, Spartina alterniflora, Opuntia humifusa, Solidago sempervirens and Morella pennsylvanica among many others.
We grow our beachgrass and other native plants at two locations near Preston, MD. Between our partners, we bring a broad range of experience to the table. With our background in horticulture and large scale production we are primed to facilitate any size habitat restoration and shoreline project.
